On Thursday, the Pennsylvania Capital-Star hosted its first ever #PennForward forum.

The first forum, which discussed the issue of gun violence in Pennsylvania, was joined by a 5-member panel of experts that weighed in on the issue.

The panelists included Dr. Eileen Ahlin, associate professor of criminal justice at Penn State Harrisburg; Joshua Vaughn, crime reporter for The Appeal; Erin Buchner, volunteer state legislative lead at Moms Demand and Brent Miller, a Pennsylvania state trooper.

Among other topics, the panelists discussed gun violence prevention measures, suicide, and the portrayal of gun violence in the media.
