These are your election night rituals and self-care routines
A bit earlier this evening, I asked my Twitter followers for their election night rituals — their favorite music, favorite foods, or superstitions that helped get them through the long night after the polls close and the results roll in.
Here’s what you had to say:
I go out for a long walk/run and don’t start watching coverage until 8:00. I try to ignore all the filler. Like I ignore the Super Bowl hype.

Working journo here. I go for a run every election night to clear my head before polls close. By happenstance, the route goes by Biden's childhood home. Oh … and then pizza.

This year, whisky and IC Lite.
And fried chicken.

I haven’t worked in TV news for years but I still have to have pizza every election night. It’s a habit that won’t die
