Lebanon Gives: Community initiative aims to make Lebanon Co. a better place

LEBANON, Pa.  — If you are in Lebanon County you may have heard of “Lebanon Gives.” And while the name sounds appealing it might make you wonder: “What is this about?”

In Lebanon there are multiple non profit organizations that serve our community day in and day out, these organizations operate in what some consider to be scarce resources for organizations like these ones who serve Lebanon county. Lebanon Gives is an initiative where members of the community are going to have the ability to donate funds that will be directed to 22 local non profit organizations.

The 5th annual event event kicked off on Tuesday and will run until year’s end. It’s intended to provide members of the community the opportunity show their appreciation for these community organizations that serve the community everyday.

Lebanon Gives has already received support from multiple businesses in the community, some of these are:

  • Salem Lutheran Church Endowment Fund
  • UGI Utilities Inc
  • Lebanon Federal Credit Union
  • Reinhart Electric, LLC
  • Seibert & Associates, LLC
  • Jonestown Bank and Trust
  • Snitz Creek Cabinet Shop
  • Arthur Funk and Sons
  • Friends of the Rescue Mission
  • Gade-A Haul Away
  • Greys and Strays
  • Time To Think, LLC
  • Tim McShane Allstate Insurance Agency
  • Margie Groy, Realtor.

The support has been evident as the Lebanon Gives initiative has already fundraised $6,000. “To check out all the great things Lebanon Gives is doing, follow the  Lebanon Gives Facebook Page. To donate to our great causes, you can donate through The United Way’s text-to-give platform.

At any time until the end of the year, community members can text “Lebanon” to 91999 or follow the link to the online giving form. Community members can track the progress live through a Thermometer which shows you the real time measure of how much #LebanonGives has raised. You can also join us on the big “Giving Tuesday” day for a Meet and Greet at the LaughLounge from 5-7pm.” Their press release reads.

  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Halcyon
  • Jubilee
  • Kenbrook Bible Camp
  • The Lebanon Valley Conservancy
  • Lebanon County Christian Ministries
  • Lebanon Family Health Services
  • Lebanon Rescue Mission
  • Lebanon Valley Council on the Arts
  • Lebanon Valley Family YMCA
  • Making a Difference of Lebanon, PA
  • Retired Senior Volunteer Program
  • SARCC
  • SHiFT
  • Spiritual-ation Foundation
  • Union Community Care
  • United Way of Lebanon County.
