Jill Biden will be in Philadelphia on Friday, the White House announced, as part of an event to mark National Civics Day, which commemorates the date in 1787 when the Federalist Papers were published. The 85 essays written by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison and John Jay were intended to promote the U.S. Constitution.
Biden will participate in an event with local students hosted by Nickelodeon, ATTN:, and iCivics to “highlight the importance of civics education across the country.”
This isn’t Biden’s first event with Nickelodeon. In 2022, Biden, who is a teacher and has been vocal about education issues throughout her career, provided remarks in a pre-taped segment at the Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards.
On Oct. 13, President Joe Biden made his eighth appearance of the year in Philadelphia to tout his administration’s $7 billion investment into regional hydrogen hubs. Jill Biden’s most recent visit to Pennsylvania was in July when she promoted the administration’s economic policies in Pittsburgh.
Further information about the Friday visit to Philadelphia wasn’t immediately available on Monday.
